6 inch Mild Steel Rain Cap

The 6 inch mild steel exhaust rain cap provides weather protection for large 6 inch (153mm) bore vertical exhaust stacks on high-output industrial plant and generator installations. At this bore size, the cap is a substantial component designed for the large primary crushing and screening plant, very large generator sets and industrial fixed plant where the exhaust outlet reaches the 6 inch specification. The gravity-operated hinged cap closes under its own weight when the engine stops, protecting the exhaust system from rainwater, debris and pest ingress during periods of non-use, and opens freely under exhaust gas pressure during operation. Mild steel construction is suited to sheltered and covered applications.
